P O K E R S P O N S O R S H I P
I am actively seeking sponsorship from investors to invest in me for several events at the 2008 World Series of Poker in Las Vegas, NV, in June/July 2008.
In 2007 I won an online tournament that sponsored my Razz entry and paid for the Ladies Entry myself. While I did not cash in Razz, I did cash in the Ladies event, which basically paid for our trip to Las Vegas. This year,
I am planning on entering the Ladies World Championship (Event #15) and Razz (Event #26) at a minimum. If able to, I would also like to compete in one of the lower buy-in No-Limit Holdem events and a lower limit H.O.R.S.E. Tourney (Event #22.)
The following are the 2008 WSOP Events that fit within a two-week timeframe that I am interested in playing:
Date Day Time Event # 2008 Buy-In
June 8, 2008 Sunday 12 noon 15 Ladies No-Limit
Hold'em World Championship
(3 day event) $1,000
June 11, 2008 Wednesday 5 PM 22 H.O.R.S.E. (3 day event)
Limit Holdem, Omaha Hi-Low
Split-8 or Better, Seven Card
Razz, Seven Card Stud, Seven
Card Stud Hi-Low
Split-8 or Better $3,000
June 13, 2008 Friday 5 PM 26 Seven Card Razz
(3 day event) $1,500
June 17, 2008 Tuesday 12 noon 32 No-Limit Hold'em
(3 day event) $1,500
June 19, 2008 Thursday 12 noon 36 No-Limit Hold'em
(3 day event) $1,500
June 21, 2008 Saturday 12 noon 39 No-Limit Hold'em
(3 day event) $1,500
June 22, 2008 Sunday 5 PM 41 Mixed Hold'em
(limit/no-limit)
(3 Day event) $1,500
I am offering a 60% / 40% split in favor of the investor, before taxes. That is to say, the investor is liable for his/her taxes for his/her share of the prize money. For example, if I win $4000 total in a sponsored tournament, the split would be $2400 before taxes for the investor and $1600 before taxes for me. If I do not cash there is no refund of the entry fee or other any other recourse.
An investor does NOT have to contribute 100% to an entry fee. For example, if he/she wanted to put $500 towards the $1000 Ladies event, the investor would then have 50% stake in the event. Using the same $4000 win as above, the investor would then receive 50% of 60% of the winnings, or $1200 before taxes. A ten percent minimum of an entry fee is suggested so that it doesn't get too crazy. (For any other amounts, please feel free to donate whatever you like.)
I would be happy to publicize your business or website by wearing logo'd clothing or caps (my husband says I look very cute in baseball caps!) during the tournament you are sponsoring. (No tobacco references or adults sites, please.)
I have a contract for both parties to sign outlining these terms so that there is no question. Payout would be in July 2008 as soon after I returned from Las Vegas as possible.
Contributions can also be made by purchasing items from my online stores,
